Academically, I am a natural and engineering scientist. However, my professional role now resembles that of a juggler.
I always ensure that all balls – whether sales, software development, marketing, or R – run in an orderly trajectory; of course, I constantly adapt these trajectories to the dynamics of the market and technological progress.
What applies to all HighPots employees also applies to management: we are given work time to develop, test, and present our own ideas, services, or prototypes to clients.
I also use my time for the development of new research methods. As a physicist and engineer, I combine scientific methods with methods from epistemology, process philosophy, and the sociology of knowledge. In my “old age”, I even re-enrolled at the university to study sociology for this purpose.
HighPots was founded in the 1980s as a tutoring association to help students. The idea of helping is still firmly anchored in the HighPots DNA – regardless of whether it concerns students, adults, or organizations today.
For me, there is no greater purpose than purposeful, peaceful, and lively interactions and the realization of a common goal that every participant is passionate about.
In this respect, every new workday is a grounding event for me. This develops a great joy and curiosity that I transfer to colleagues, customers, and partners.
